What You Can & Can’t Do During the EQAO Assessment
These login card templates are helpful in preparing students for accessing their EQAO assessments. The QR code directs students to the student login page.
Save a copy of this file to edit. Add the access code from your EQAO dashboard (same code for all students in your class) and the OEN (unique number for each student). Print the cards and have students practice scanning the QR Code to access the login page.

Preparing for EQAO and Knowledgehook Assessments- Newsletters
These monthly newsletters support educators in reviewing test-taking strategies and common question types (multiple choice, drag and drop, open response, drop-down menu).
They also contain links to lessons and helpful resources about grammar and syntax, writing skills, and practice tests for reading (grades 3 and 6) to help prepare students for EQAO and Knowledgehook assessments.

DSB1 EQAO Assessment Supports: Mathematics
These EQAO math resource packs contain reformatted, released questions that require students to demonstrate their thinking and to justify their choices. Questions are available in PDF formats.
Each question has an accompanying teacher support document that contains links to curriculum expectations, Knowledgehook missions, and suggested strategies that can be used to help students make their thinking more visible. Links require a DSB1 account to access.

Gr. 3 & 6 Brain Boosters
Brain Boosters are a quick, fun, and effective way to support gr. 3 & 6 students in building EQAO readiness throughout the school year!
They help students become familiar with question formats, strategies, and planned distractors while aligning with the Science of Learning and Barak Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction—supporting review, engagement norms, checking for understanding, and timely feedback.
New Brain Boosters are delivered by email every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning (beginning October 20th) to gr. 3 & 6 teachers.
